Things I think of in these times!

I got an email notice that the California Association of Realtors has taken out full-page ads in seven of the state's largest newspapers to urge banks, government officials and others with a stake in the housing market to make so-called short sales easier, faster and more efficient.

The ads were to appear in the Mercury News, the Los Angeles Times, the San Francisco Chronicle, San Diego Union and other daily papers Thursday.

The general appeal of the ad was to point out that many potential home buyers have had to wait more than three months for banks to respond to short-sale applications. In addition the ad was to point out that short sale transactions must be streamlined in order to help with the overall economic recovery by reducing inventory.

It is my sincere hope that something gets done on this matter soon!

In addition as hard a pill as it may be to swallow it would be great if Banks mortgage servicers and the Federal government would do something to help the homeowner who is struggling to make their house payments where they are underwater in their mortgage and a simple rate reduction refinance would help them. What would this hurt? The federal government has already bailed out all the ultra-rich on Wall Street (Banks, Insurance Giants, Car companies, Foreign Companies) why not help the struggling homeowner keep their home?
